SIG-Sauer Closing German Operations
« on: July 20, 2020, 01:52:25 PM »
Last month SIG Sauer announced they are closing down there German operations after several centuries of operation and will continue on only in the United States.  Things have really gotten tough for the gun manufacturers in Europe.

This means there will be no more SIG Mastershop Pistols.  I decided to grab one more before they are all gone.  It is a SIG P210 6" Super Target Midnight from the Mastershop Prestige Division.  It is really a beautiful pistol.

  Reason they are shutting down?

There are various reasons.  H&K and Walther are dominating the European Law Enforcement market and the Sporting Arms market is drying up from government regs.  They got in a law suit with the German government over exporting banned arms to South America and running the paper work through their American branch.  This put restrictions on Government Contracts.

Also it is reported their bad business habits and over pricing has doomed them.

They are thriving here in the U.S. though it seems.

Beautiful gun!!
Having a gun in your hand is much more effective than having the entire police department on the phone!
