A friend of mine always said, " Live fast, Live hard, Die young and leave a good looking corpse "
That was his motto and just what he did, he died at 42.

That is some kind of hard and fast to go at 42.

Sometimes you get what you ask for.  One should be very careful.  I know; Corey is going to be asking for more blues.    ;D

Most of my friends who died young went hard and fast into a rice paddy or a Vietnam hill side. There was no pretty left to place in a casket.

I tromped the rice paddies of Nam. Some of my guys didn't return. I was one that beat the odds and God was not ready for me yet.

Thank you for that, Duke; it is much appreciated from you and those who are left there who are forever young.

I never agreed with his motto, but it was his choice.
He had a problem with his blood pressure, and when the doctor told him one of the side effects of the medication could be with his erection, he only took the meds when he felt like it , and the blood pressure highs and lows screwed his kidneys up. Then while on home dialysis he got a blood clot in his leg and they had to amputate it, and he then developed dry gangrene and they had to remove some of his toes on his remaining foot, and some finger tips.
Then one morning his girlfriend called me and said he had died in his sleep, they said it was a blood clot that went to his brain.
  Rest in peace Bill.

I rode PBR's (River Boats) and PCF's (Swift Boats) in Nam , always tried to keep my feet out of the mud, you ground pounders had it rough. Bravo Zulu to all of you.
