SOLD Black Carbon Fiber Grips-SOLD
« on: May 09, 2010, 09:27:09 PM »
SOLD

Black CFs from my R7xx serial number R9.  No wear.  there are a few exposed fibers poking out of the radiused edges but they were there when new so probably not really a "flaw".

I'd part with them for $330 shipped or trade for $280 plus a nice set of G10s.

I like 'em too!  Excellent!  I do wish the color was blue!

I would think the same as black ones although most people want black.  I did too, until I found out the first Rohrbaugh's had blue.  I changed my tune, then.  Now I want the early Rohrbaugh, with blue grips.

The fibers are poking out from the edges because the grips are machined from a sheet of Carbon Fiber, not molded. Any machined CF will have exposed fibers.

Yes, if I had an electric shaver they could probably be cleaned up but I'm a blade man.  I've been involved in composites engineering for about 25 years, I agree they are always there.  These few were just thick enough that the cutter didn't cut them clean flush to the surface.
