Looking for spare parts recommendations
« on: February 13, 2016, 07:53:08 PM »
Hello all
Purchased a Rohrbaugh R9s years ago.
Did not realize the business was sold it looks like to Remington.
Want to carry this again, which gets me back to I need a little occasional range time, which gets me thinking I need spare parts especially the main outer recoil spring recommended to be replaced every 200 rounds.

Based on my searches today this is what I can tell.  Please be kind to me if I missed anything.

As stated above it seems Remington has the rights and business and looks to be making the 380, so the 9mm seems to have no new spare parts coming out, yet.  Not sure if that will change in the future.

Williams Gun Sight in MI looks to be doing warranty work, yes?  Not sure about how that relationship came to be.  Do not see many references that they sell spare parts but guessing they might from NOS.  Is there something they have I should inventory?

Checkmate had ~150 NOS magazines but looking a their website, they look sold out, and there are no references to any available magazine springs.  Believe I am good with 4 magazines.

Wolff has a Spring set with both inner and outer recoil springs, a 5 pack of outer springs and trigger springs.

So here are my questions.
What would be the recommended inventory of available spare parts?
It seems my only choice are the springs from Wolff.
My thought would be to purchase from Wolff, one order each of the Spring Set, the 5 pack and and a trigger spring.  Any thoughts on this order, too much, too little?

Am I missing other available spare parts I should order?

Thanks for the board and any kind recommendations.
michael

If possible I would like to get at least one spare firing pin. In a DAO design, the firing pin doesn't fully retract, so the tip can see a bit of stress, I always worry it might break one day.

thanks tattoo and gunboats
Placed an order from Wolff, seems they are out of stock of the outer recoil spring and the expected time to fill my order is 3 to 6 weeks.
