Been absent, value question
« on: June 20, 2015, 04:40:09 PM »
I've been absent for a couple years, and looks like A LOT has changed...

I had a Robar R9 as a primary carry for a long time, and it was a beauty.

I still have a R9 Stealth that I picked up used, but haven't personally fired. Seems to be in real good shape, a few wear marks here and there, but nothing major.  3xxx serial range.  Only one magazine.

I know this is a pain in the butt question, but if anyone can help me with an estimated value of my R9 stealth, I would very much appreciate it.  I assume folks here are more up to speed on market value than me.  I feel a little lost, and gunbroker isn't helping me figure things out.  I've got a daughter's wedding to pay for and need to move this one along.  Not looking to maximize every penny, just want to know roughly what price should equate to a quick sell...

Thanks for taking time to ready my thread.

I will give you my opinion having sold a few here and there. Before Eric Rohrbaugh came on board and before Remington announced repair options, the Rohrbaughs were dead in the water with  disappointing resale values. Then Eric came on board. All hell broke loose and the Rohrbaughs were back! Values skyrocketed and resales of all kinds were brisk and healthy. But there are only so many Rohrbaugh buyers out there. At the present time, there are more Rohrbaughs than there are buyers. GunBroker Rohrbaugh sales right now are this: There are some dealers who have used Rohrbaughs for sale that are trying to get stupid prices for them. They are going nowhere. There are some used Rohrbaughs for sale by individuals in the $900-$1000 range that are going nowhere. As always, Rohrbaugh buyers are fussy buyers. They want perfection. They want perfect new in the box guns that are complete with everything that came from the factory. They want Stealths first. The last one like this that I sold went for $1400.00 a few months ago. When they have been carried, shot, and show some carry wear, and are missing an item or two, they go for $800-$900. I think that that is the realistic range that is out there currently. Good luck with your sale.
Having a gun in your hand is much more effective than having the entire police department on the phone!
