Early bird might get the worm
« on: March 20, 2015, 07:19:21 AM »
Because the future of the R9 is uncertain I ordered a couple mags from Williams this past week. My wife tends to clutter the basement with her art stuff and I tend to be all thumbs at times, so I also ordered a few slide pins and a couple guide rod caps, just in case they somehow go flying when I'm cleaning the gun.
This is what I was told. Thousands of parts are available. However this is not the case for slides nor mags.He did say they need to retain a certain amount of the mags for warranty commitments.
As stated at other times on this forum, nice people and helpful. Yes they are.

                                                                                                                          Wisconsin

I have a few extra magazines laying around I can sell. I'll try to get what I need personally together and the rest can go. I'll try to have something posted in the Classifieds Area in the next few days for those in need.    8)

Eric,

Thanks. I am looking for the all black mags - do you have any of those?

First off what a stellar little pistol you and your INVENTOR brother have brought to the world...there is nothing that comes close. I purchased a well loved/used 2tone 15xx serial# after 5yrs of hand wringing and longing..Little beauty will only ever see gold dots in its chamber as practice fodder and has never had a hiccup with new springs from Williams. Bought another used Deerpark 2tone for the wife today and now really would like a spare mag for hers..Black would be the cats meow but stainless would still make us smile...
Thanks again for the perfect pocket pistol ECR..A perfect beast with a pedigree if you ask me.

Thank you for the humbling remarks about our "Little Guy".  I personally do not have any of the black magazines laying around. Brother Karl may have one or two, I'll ask him if he wants to sell those. As mentioned, I need a couple of days to sort out exactly how many stainless mags I have to let go and I'll make a new post in the Classifieds Area of the forum with some photographs soon on those items.

Regards,

Eric R.

I am assuming that I did a good thing by informing members of this forum that Williams had a limited numbers of mags left and did not open a can of worms for anyone trying to capitalize on this condition so as  to make a rather large profit selling them on Ebay.

There is always a risk of trying to be helpful about available limited sources from a supplier. It has been my experience that there are predators who will take advantage of a well intended statement on a public forum.

Eric, I would be interested in a stainless magazine if you have any. Thanks, JM.
