As for the tools, Josh, the photo below includes them all except the "Paperclip" tool developed by R. J. Hedley just before his death. And by the way, if any sharp eyes out there notice that the photo of the disassembled R9 does not show the barrel pin, it is lurking under the edge of the holster. (Moral of that story: Keep an eye on the barrel pin when disassembling your R9. It likes to roll away and disappear.)
As for the elephant hide grips, you will recall, MRC, that you are the one who originally brought their availability to my attention. They are the grips I most often use on my R9 lately. Although they may not offer the firmness of the VZ grips, they are very comfortable and, since the hide is mounted over some adapted standard G10 grips, they fill the hand well.

I should edit this post by noting that I also have two pair of wooden grips and some original carbon fiber blues for my R9. Someone once called me "a grip junkie." I confess. "My name is Richard, and I am a grip and holster junkie."
