Very interesting. Thanks for the great info.
So who has the Robar Rohrbaugh .380?
Anyone fessing up?
Well if you don't want to brag to the world at least PM me.
Do the Robars look much different than the standard stealth models?
Hello JoshA,
There was
one set of Rohrbaugh/Robars made especially for my doctor and they were consecutive serial numbers. He had an R9 in 9mm whilst the second version was in .380 caliber for his wife. They have since retired and moved south off of the Island to points unknown. I doubt he would ever sell them. He and his wife absolutely adored them. I believe he may be leaving those to his family when he passes on. I also know they were NEVER shot, just looked at and admired as art. (His words, not mine)
In reference to the coating difference between a Stealth and the Rohrbaugh/Robar:
The Stealth has an anodized frame with a black nitride slide.
The Rohrbaugh/Robar had NP3 coating treating the slide, barrel and frame. Hand polished trigger, hammer, ejector, extractor, magazine release, magazine base plate and grip screw set.
Regards,
Eric R.
