Recoil Springs
« on: June 30, 2014, 09:41:30 PM »
I have not been shooting my 380 because I have only 1 spring left.  For any 380 owners interested, I emailed Wolff to see if they might have springs for it and the answer was no. If anyone knows any place that has 380 springs available, please let me know.  I also have two R9 springs I would trade for 380 springs if anyone has extras.

This could be a problem...  :o

Luckily the 380 doesn't need springs very often.

Does anyone know what the round count for replacing the springs in the R380 was?

Also - I'm guessing that springs for the new Remington RM380 will work in the Rohrbaugh R380...

I wouldn't count on the RM380 springs working in the Rohrbaugh 380. I believe they have a different recoil setup than ours. . . . . . But, not having one of the RM380s in my hands, I could be wrong. Frankly, if you have a Rohrbaugh 380 outer recoil spring. . . . . just stretch it out a little bit and put it back in. . . . . You should be fine. (Inside info) These guns are not brain surgery. . . . . (respectfully speaking here everyone) . . . . . Unless you have shot 3,000 rounds through your R380, I don't think there is much issue with the shot count and replacing the outer recoil spring on them. They are much more forgiving the R9.

Here is a comparison of the RM380 and the R380 slides, barrels and recoil assemblies.

Thanks for the picture.

Do you mind if I post that on THR?

Its OK if you don't want me to, the picture is yours.  I just end up talking about the RM380 quite a bit on other forums, the amount of ignorance that is out there is astounding...
