Eric Rohrbaugh has been at the new facility this week helping to set up the warranty repair processes in Pineville, NC.
I am told that Rohrbaugh Firearms is quite close to having this process complete. The plan is that the phone system will be "live" and repair techs will be coordinating warranty repairs within two weeks of today. The exact date is still not known, but will be announced here.
Furthermore, Rohrbaugh understands the importance of getting parts sales on line. It is anticipated that telephone orders for recoil springs, grip screws and magazines will commence within the same two week period. Availability of other parts will follow, but these particular items are being prioritized.
It sounds to me like things are moving quickly at this point.
I have also been told that Rohrbaugh already has a prototype of a (slightly) improved R-9 design that should go into production this summer. We can all speculate on what the improvements made be, but I understand many of the changes were a result of Karl's input on the new design--which should be encouraging to all of us.
