New R9S Stealth vs New 911 Porsche Cabriolet
« on: April 21, 2013, 09:00:30 AM »
Several years ago I placed a deposit and ordered a new Porsche 911 S Cabriolet. I researched the death out of it and eagerly awaited the arrival of my new toy. After 3 long months it finally arrived. Driving it home was one of the most exciting times of my life. I was in awe at this exquisite driving machine. It was beyond what I had expected. The first night that I had it, I woke up at 3:00 am, went out to my garage, opened the garage door and started it up. I listened to the magnificent engine whine over and over again. Unbelievable! I remember thinking to myself "What could ever top this?". Well, yesterday my new Pup came in and I went straight to the range to try it out. Unbelievable! Did it top the Porsche experience? No, but tying for 1st place with a new Porsche is not bad. Thank you Rohrbaugh.

I know the feeling quite well.  :)

I just can not wait at all to fire a new gun.  Being a bonified Gunaholic, AND East Texas Redeck; as soon as I leave the gunshop, I stop at my first bridge/overpasss of some sort and blast away a few mags.  Even though being totally Redneck style, I do it in a safe manner in a safe direction with a good backstop as well.

This way when I get home, my heart rate is some what normal as I am coon-fingering my new acquisition.  And now I have patience to wait for a REAL range workout.

And I thought I was excited about my purchase! Pretty impressive .... I was even excited at my new / used R9 ... being on the waiting side of a new order must feel awesome upon delivery. I am looking forward to that .45 and am trying to find out how to get on the waiting list for it. But that is another thread ...

That R9 safe is incredible BTW ...
