Shot Show Intros
« on: December 18, 2012, 05:53:15 PM »
Well Last years Shot Show seemed a bit disappointitng. No R45.  We did not seem to even bat an eye at the brown gun or the green one.  The Tribute is cool.  It seems a few members jumped on that opportunity.  But overall,  we were left wanting.

So, for the new year, anyone have any suspicions, heard rumors, or talked to the horse himself?   Or what do you want to realistically see put forth?

I wouldn't mind seeing a tastefully engraved model.  Maybe 50%.  As long as they don't get greedy on the price.

I love fully engraved guns, but it is a turn off to some folks.  And full engraved has to be just the right style.  So that is why I choose 50%.

Well it's free market and people can sell or purchase for whatever prices they want.

I wanted a Tribute, but the price differential between that and the standard didn't make sense to me so I got the standard.

Oh I thought you were one the ones that bought a Tribute.

That narrows it down, member wise.

Not sure yet what is on tap for the show, but I'll likely be sworn to secrecy anyway...

I haven't heard much from Eric and Karl since Superstorm Sandy--its been a rough time for them.

I think people focus in on new designs at the expense of other technilogical innovations.

Rohrbaugh created the most smallest lightest semi-auto nine in existance, and that is very cool.  But the manufacturing innovations that allow increased quality assurance and decreased production costs are often overlooked.

I understand it, you can't bring your latest computerized metal-lathing industrial robot to shot show and expect many people to visit your booth.

Everyone always wants the latest and greatest at the Shot, but sometimes a smaller company can just do its best with just getting by..

I dont anticipate anything heart stopping, but only the R Bros truly know!!

The Rohrbaugh and Kurylenko seem to be made for each other; that may be a first in european history.

Either the R9 was enlarged or she is a tiny person....the pistol sure does look big in her hand....but, it took me a while to even see there was a weapon, and who cares anyway?

Carl needs to hire her for SHOT show 2013.  With her by the booth no one is going to ask where the  .45 is...

Duane, thank you for the huge reminder! I had been wrapped up in all the other closer to me areas I forgot all about Eric and Karl and their shop being in the heart of the storm.
I hope they are doing well.
