Seeking Beretta Bobcats
« on: November 15, 2012, 12:16:02 PM »
Let me know if you have a Bobcat in .22 and/or .25 that's taking up real estate in your safe and needs a good home.  I'd like to start ammo testing with these in the Spring and would rather buy a nice used Beretta than a new Taurus.

Wish I had seen this post last month.  I had a Bobcat .25 that I sold to Budsgunshop.com to make room for the Tribute I ordered.

If no one here has one for sale then you may want to check out the place I sold mine to last month or perhaps others here may have some place local to you.

Are the Bobcats scarce? I agree with you on the Beretta vs. the Taurus; no contest.

I actually checked Buds for pricing out the Beretta vs. the Taurus.  Buds is out of all the Bobcats at the moment.

Not scarce, but pricy for what they are.  I can justify 200 per, which is new Taurus money or used Beretta money.

I had a Taurus PT22 back in the 90s and it was pretty much garbage when it came to reliable feeding.  They will be fine for ballistics testing purposes if I have to go that route.

Bruce  -  I think I can help you with both.  Give me a day or two to check.

I'd put the thumbs up thingy here, but it's not available.  You'll have to settle for this.   ;D

Bruce:

I note that Gunbroker currently lists several Bobcats in .22 LR and a few in .25 ACP. Some of the prices seem to hover in the $200-$300 range. You might want to keep an eye on them until MRC is able to check his sources.

All taken care of.  =)  I'm happy and I hope the seller is too.  Thanks Bob.

.22LR and .25ACP Terminal ballistics tests are in my future.

Interesting, I own both and carry the 25 all the time, I'm looking forward to the results. But on the other hand I am waiting to get my new and first R9 from Tom too. ;D
