What a gorgeous specimen MRC!

Great polish job and love those grips!

Do you shoot it for either caliber or is it a Safe Queen?

Just Awesome man, Awesome!

Very, very nice pistol.  Kinda reminds me of the Wildey I wanted in the 90's, but didn't have the money to buy.  Had to settle for the Magnum Research Lone Eagle SSP.

Thanks Reinz.  Like I say I just got this gun put together so I have not shot it.  The barrel is a new one made by Maynard Arms in Portland, Oregon.  I had the polished and plated N Hollywood frame so I ordered the barrel with a mirror finish.  The vent rib barrel is a 44 AMP and is 81/2" long (ala Dirty Harry) which were never made at the Auto Mag factories.  The plain barrel is a custom also and is an 81/2" in 357 AMP made by Bob Barbasiewicz who was the Production Manager and Engineer at Auto Mag Corp. and TDE.  I have shot that barrel on another frame.  The grips came on another pistol I had bought and I know nothing about them other than they look very similar to the Duane Stout grips on the AMP in the Wikipedia listing.

I have several of the Auto Mags and I do shoot both the 44 AMP's and the 357 AMP's

Ljutic, I also have a Wildey in 44 AMP.  Forget the Wildey and buy an Auto Mag.

Thanks for the info MRC.

I used to shoot my 44's and 357 all the time and load for both.  Even make casings out of 308 brass.

I sold a couple to my brother, one was my only 357 :(.   I still have 2, 44's, 1 of them an unfired High Standard Model.

I have 2 Wildeys, a 45 Win Mag single action and a 475 Wildey double action.  Like you alluded to, they just ain't Auto Mags! ;D

Let us know how they fire, please!

Stunning work, just stunning! I love
that style of engraving. I had a couple
of Gold Belt Buckles done in that style.

These were done long before it was STYLISH with the rappers.
I guess you could say I was ahead of the curve. It was popular
in the deep south where I live to have these made and then
passed down to ones children. I have a Sterling Silver buckle
in the rectangular format that belonged to my Grandfather.
The style of the Engraving done on these belt buckles was
copied somewhat from my Grandfathers buckles that were
made during the early 1900's.

Thanks billib.  I never thought I would have a pistol engraved until I saw some of Michael Gouse's work on the Seecamp forum.  The price was $300 at the time including freight back and I could not resist.

You should see it in person, they are very hard to photograph and it looks twice as good in person.

I agree, engraving sorta' MAKES the pistol YOURS.
You can't appreciate it till you hold it in your hands.
Pictures don't really do it justice.

I added some pics of my Belt Buckles.

Very nice pistols, MRC!  I have a soft spot for unique guns like those!

Awesome belts and buckles too, Billib!
