Rohrbaugh R9s pics and question...
« on: July 21, 2012, 02:25:06 PM »
I just picked this up today on trade... I am not sure how I feel about it yet... I may fire it a bit and see... Not sure, but it might just go up for sale to help fund a few other pistols... Will have to give it some thoughts... It is very small tho, I do like that... Here are some comparison pics with the LCP...

The question I have is what would a value on this be? I see them on gunbroker going anywhere from $1,100.00 to $1,200.00... I appreciate the advice..

TKR:

What you have there in the R9 is the finest pocket pistol on the planet. As to its value, how much do you value owning the finest pocket pistol on the planet?

I'd sell the Ruger.  9mm is much better than 380.  The Rohrbaugh trigger and spacious trigger guard are quite an advantage.  After you shoot it, you can decide.   I think you'll be much more accurate with it.  Let us know how it goes.
The nick of time comes right before the moment lost.

I have already shot one... It was nice, but to me the price tag for it isn't really justified... Not knocking the gun, or the quality, just isn't for me... I have already sold the R9 to a friend... The LCP is my Wife's, but I will be getting me one too for the very odd times I pocket carry... I am in L.E. so I usually have a full size 1911 or M&P on me... If I am CCing I carry a M&P Shield 9mm. that I really love...

The last time I drank any Kool-Aid I was 9 years old.

I wish you the best of luck on your sale, and thanks for stopping by the Forum.

Edit: I just noted from your post in the Classifieds, as well as the one above, that you have already sold the R9. Both you and your friend have my congratulations.

And thank you for your service in law enforcement. Stay safe out there.

FAA...congrats.  Read the sticky thread on ammo, lubrication, etc.  This is a world class close-tolerance piece and must be treated with care, fed the best of ammo and fired with a firm wrist.  With those precautions you will cherish this little gem.  Welcome to the forum!  John

What about my multiple $3,000.00 + custom build 1911s? Those have a soul???

I am not on here to talk crap or start anything at all... Just giving you guys a hard time!!! I can appreciate the quality of a well built firearm obviously with my extensive high end 1911 collection... The R9 just wasn't for me...
