Is there a list of the different models/variations of the R9?

The Rohrbaugh site lists the

Standard
Stealth
Robar (discontinued)

There is also:

Tribute..
Coyote
Custom
Covert

Are there any I'm missing?

I'm going to update the R9 Wikipedia article

The Coyote was a preliminary name I believe the official model designation is Mission: http://www.rohrbaughfirearms.com/news (3rd Paragraph).

There were also the engraved models which appear to have been available with either silver or grey frames and had three levels of engraving: standard, medium, and deluxe, presumably with and without sights. All the ones I have seen pictures of had Blue CF grips. I doubt they made all of the possible combinations but that would add another 12 different models.
There was also R5000 the NRA special edition gun.
There was also a “one of a kind” auctioned here on the forum with various anodized finishes.
You can also count the covert but should add the bit about a dealer facilitating the production with Rohrabugh’s blessing. This would count as 2 more models if they were available with and without sights – I don’t know)
That is 55 possible combinations but there are probably more…

Blue C2,  I have Rohrbaugh R9s number R600 Farmingdale pistol.  It has a GOLD colored frame.

Looks like it started out Silver when RJ had it:

Based on the thread referenced below he had a request in for a sliver frame after the factory had stopped making them and this silver one came in from a plating vendor they were testing. Would love to see a current picture to see how the color has changed with age. Even in the pic the silver frame looks different from the silver frame of my #321.

Very nice gun BTW...glad it has a good home.

An additional fun fact about R600: It left the factory on 8-30-04.

And there were a few pre-R SN "pups" with stainless steel slides and anodized frames of a color other than gray, such as this one:

(1963-1967) "GO ARMY!"

Richard,

By "Early light grey anodized" I was referring to the "plum" color on your 132. I have heard both terminology used to refer to the same color but "plum" is probably the more accurate description. As far as I know all of the Pre R guns were the same color (except the couple silver) frames.

Let's call it "bronze."   8)

Richard, bronze it is!  I have not had the pleasure of seeing one of these guns in person so will take the word of the lucky few who have.

Wow, thanks for the detailed work.

It looks like I left out "Special Forces"

The Special Forces model was  "Diamond Black" finish and all internal Armor Tuff at Wilson Combat right?.

So the slide and frame both had black finishes ?

I don't know the specifics on the names of the various Wilson finishes used on the special forces. All I know from the pictures I have seen is that everything is black and I mean everything, trigger, mag, hammer, barrel etc.
