Preferred serial number range
« on: April 17, 2012, 08:18:02 PM »
Rohrbaugh Newb and Lurker here.
Looking at used vs new.
What is the "preferred", or "upgraded" serial number range?  What are the differences or benefits?
And do all Stealths fall into this range?
Will Rohrbaugh stand behind used as well as they will new?
Thanks for any insights.  All schooling appreciated.

Welcome, ScotP7. Those few questions cover 8 years of forum posts and experience. Used or new? I would definitely buy new every time. The factory will take care of used guns but it is best if they are sent to them for warranty validation. I don't have the answers to your other questions but buying new should make it a moot point.

Welcome to the forum.

I have a good used gun for sale in the classified ads.
It was sent in by the previous owner for warranty work. It has an earlier frame with a new slide.

If you do purchase a used R9 and you have any issues you can have a rewarranty done for $150.00.
This will get you any repair necessary to the gun and shipping back to you.

Tom Watson (IRISH GUARD FIREARMS) is the man for a new Rohrbaugh!

He is a member here and you can find his advertisment at the top.

I'll throw in a second on Tom Watson of the Irish Guard Firearms for a new Rohrbaugh.

Thanks all for the welcome and advice.
It is a good sign that the man who sells new guns is the first to say how best to buy a used one.  Much appreciated.  Will look up Irish Guards.
