WTB black aluminum IDM grips

Yeah, I know I'm more likely to find Silvertips at Wal-Mart today.   ::)

I know they're rare, I'm willing to be gouged (well, to a point of course).

Ok, let the sound of crickets begin....   ;D

Hi,
I just checked IDM's website and it appears the grips are still instock.  Are you wanting the grips or the mag extentions? The extentions have been out of stock for quite some time.  As far as the grips go I can highly recomend them.  They are very nice with LOTS of added gripping power.

Now that was cruel.  Like waving a pizza in front of a starving man!  ;D

Nope, I PM'd him a month or so ago and was told he's all out of black.  I believe he had some polished aluminum left, but I don't care for them.  I wonder if they could be anodized?  I bet it would be impossible to locate a place that would only do two parts anyway.

sdlsaginaw,
Actually, the anodizing shops love those little jobs like sets of grips. They need to put small parts in the corners of the anodizing tank to evenly distribute the electrical charge.
My brother used to run a big anodizing operation.  He always chuckled about charging marine hardware manufacturers big bucks to anodize cleats and other small parts.  He would have had to put scrap aluminum in the corners anyway!   ;D
Even if you find a shop willing to anodize your grips, you probably will be unhappy with the color.  The shop is going to optimize his tank chemistry, current density and time for his primary workpieces.
I recall back in 2005 Rohrbaugh had problems with anodized color of the early frames - to the point where they couldn't ship finished guns.
