I certainly think it would be impolite, at least, to be critical of someone's for sale posting, but I don't think that was the intent here. I also note that I would normally frown upon someone's first post being a "for sale" listing, but I certainly understand in this case, given the unique nature of the item and its significance to Rohrbaugh enthusiasts.
This particular R9 is distinguished by its serial number (5000) and the two sets of custom NRA grips. The value, of course, is subjective -- this is a one-of-a-kind collector's item that was donated by Rohrbaugh for the NRA drawing. Seems pretty cool to me if you are a Rohrbaugh collector. In my humble opinion, $1,500 is a reasonable price for such a piece of history.
