Hayabusa - we're glad to have you and know you will be a great addition.

By the way it just hit me while I was typing your name - I'm not a motorcylce guy --but, isn't the Hayabusa that awesome crotch rocket by Suzuki ?

And by awesome, that is an understatement!

No, thank you. I do recognize my limitations. It looks like a lot of fun, though, if speed is your need.

I do have a need for speed, however, not on two wheels.

A former neighbor of mine's wife was a H.S. beauty queen in South Chicago. One of her friends was an amateur photographer and asked her do do some poses on a motorcycle for him. A few years later someone sent her a photo with a caption that said, "You get more nookie on a Suzuki" with her posing for it. By this time she was a pregnant wife and the judge awarded her a nice settlement.

I learned early on in my youth as I was about to become a grease spot in the road as I was feeling my need for speed on two wheels that I better abandon that mode of transportation.

By the Grace of God I was spared, so I sold my bike the next day because I knew I did not have to maturity to control the throttle.

My need for speed was gratified on three wheels but they were retractable. I was too young and dumb to know better.

That is one of my regrets in life.

I wish I learned to fly and to fly Jets!

It's a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. I had no intention of flying but just looking for an alternative to floating around on a tin can for three years. Surprisingly, that was preordained and worked out well.

No, i miss the takeoffs and landings, approaches and departures, and sunsets and sunrises. Other than that, a few cloud formations, and the fun of it I can live without it.

Now, how long did you fly, all total?

I can understand the boredom of being stuck on the ship.

I flew seven years in the Navy and thirty one for the airline. That's enough. One thing that will do for you is that you gain a particular fondness for your own bed. I really dislike hotel rooms, even luxurious ones..
