R.45 (Remember those?)
« on: March 30, 2010, 08:07:44 PM »
  I got to thinking, I haven't seen anything about the R.45 in quite a while.( At least I don't believe I've missed any thing). Any facts, rumors or just wishful thinking making the rounds? Come on, someone tell me something, anything, lie to me, just give me some hope!         Gene

This is the last we've heard.  See Gator's post on the following link:

You probably have seen that, but that is it.

    Like a lot of us, I have a deposit on the R-45. I've decided to just have Tom hang on to it til' I die of old age and then take the 100 bucks and spend it on that good Irish whiskey he talks about!     Gene

No deposit, and even at the low interest rates, my hundred in the bank may earn enough to buy a holster before the R45s are out.  ;D

It is a fact that I'm starting a rumor right now that the R45 will be hitting the market in June of this year.  I will also state that this is wishful thinking and I have only marginal evidence to back up this information.   I also will lie to you and say that I have held the prototype and shot it with factory ok'ed +p+ ammo.  It's smaller, lighter, and holds two more rounds than the R9 does and only recoils about half as much.  It has checkered front and back straps, nite sites, a manual safty, a built in laser guidrod, 4 mags and take down tools in the factory aluminum hard case.  It's a most fantastic gun.  I said I would keep all this a secret but thought you guys might "need" to have this information.  O-yea MSRP is $595 and they will knock 50% off that if you trade in a kel-tec at time of purchase.

Now you know!  ::)

What if I were to say that the prototype was concealed in that Haugen "Boxter" the photograph of which I posted earlier in this thread?

(Would that it were!   ;D)
