With 33 pages of bumps and "I love my extention" 's I would say that there are LOTS of people that have tried those extensions.  There are the best you can get for a R9.  I like the straight ones but others think the curved ones fit their hands better.  Try one of each I guess.

Just a reminder, there are NO Straight extensions available at this time and probably won't be until the first of the year. :'(

I carry a hooked one but have a straight extension in the alternate mag in a Hedley holder. They are both good but I have small hands and the curved version works well for me.

They come in Black or Silver.

You won't be disappointed either way.  :D

Have two of the silver hooked ones; excellent quality and the best you'll find.

I have a black hooked extension from Yankee and I like it a lot. It really helps me get a better grip when I'm drawing from a pocket holster. I'm going to pick up a straight one as soon as they are available to try that out. Be sure to order some grip screws when you place your order for the grip extension.

Howards,

I bought both the straight and hooked versions from John. I prefer the feel of the straight version. I have a big hand and my ring finger sat right on the hook. For me this was not comfortable for shooting.
If you do not have a large hand (size 11-12 gloves) the hooked version may be what you are looking for.
