Back from the range. No ftf with silver tip or Speer both in 115 gr, but I definitely prefer the Speer. Grouped 3" at five yards.

recoil is similar to my 340pd with 38+ though with a much smoother trigger pull.

Some finish wear on the barrel, but I like this finish. Cleaned up very easy.

Using the gun butter I read about here and I like the way the action feels with this lube.

Forgot to metion something.  the hammer stopped at a half cock position after a partial rack of the slide for re-assembly.

The trigger felt like a Glock, partially set, and fired with the completion of the trigger pull.

I can re-create this almost every time with a full rack of the slide and a slow return.  I didn't think this would be possible with this type of action.

Note: hammer works fine with a traditional full rack and hard release.

Excellent range report. Glad it functioned 100%

as far as the hammer sticking, you may want to remove the right grip panel and inspect the trigger bar, clean, lube and reinstall. Give it a try and let us know how it works out for you.

Congratulations and good luck with your R9. Finally(!) a photograph of the left side of an R9, even though I had to stand on my head to view properly.

Turns out that the hammer hang up was being caused by a loose grip.  The loose grip was causing the trigger arm to bow out into the mag well.  This was then catching on the hammer.  These things are sensitive!

Glad it worked out for you.

I check the grip screws as part of my weekly maintenance.
