R9s marked slides?

I have been serching and reading through all back post trying to learn more about the slides that are marked with the R9s, from what I gathered most of these slides were used on the very early farmingdale guns without the "R" prefix...mine has an R9s marked slide on it, but mine is an "R" prefix gun....has anyone seen other "R" prefix guns with the early R9s marked slide on them? Any thoughts or clairification on this would be greatly appreciated!

Yes there are some that have it but not many.  Off the top of my head I know that R343 & R600 have the "s" marked slides.  Im sure there are a few more.  Ive asked Maria before and they dont have records of which guns have the "s".

There were slides that were "held up" for one reason or another, and were used when they became available on the production Pups..

No special reasons except to continue production in the "early" days..

IMO it ads a slight premium for a "collector",but is actually a "mismatched" gun for the period build..

This is part of what makes our little Pup's special to us..

Anyone have an idea roughly how long it took from when they started the "R" prefix to get to say R600, one of the later Rohrbaughs that CWC saw with an R9s slide on it? I,m just curious as to how long the R9s slides might have been working thier way through the production cycle! Was it years or was it a matter of months? I know there is no exact answer to this but any thoughts?

Probably, a year at the most to a #600 born date. For example, a 700 no. [non Rs] was purchased in April 2005. These numbers jump all over the place but there are some boundaries and limits.

R600 left the factory on 8-30-04

R343 left the factory on 6-14-04
