In the area you live in I was only familiar with Personal Defense on Tryon, but I have never shot there. A little way down from Personal Defense on 3319 Anvil Pl is Lawmens Safety Supply, I purchased my Kahr PM40 there, pretty good prices on guns.

I like the summary remarks in Genitron's review of the R9:

"Due to their high quality many refer to Rohrbauch pistols as the Rolex or Rolls Royce of small defensive pistols."

I am one of those "many," although I personally might have used Ferrari, Lamborghini or Bugatti as the vehicle analogy.   8)
