Rohrbaugh, ultimate carry pistol?

Over 20 oz isn't pocket carry IMO.  May as well tote an HK P2000SK or Walther P99c in your pocket.  Yes..I know..some people claim to be able to do so without anybody noticing they are carrying.....yeah....riiiiggght.

It looks like the Sig is a bout 24 +oz. loaded and the G-26 is about 26 +oz. loaded, but Sig missed the boat for a good CC gun at that weight.

I'm pretty sure SIG is going to "miss this boat" all the way to the bank.

One thing I've noticed about SIG lately is they are putting emphasis on shootability.  They may not have the last word on every last spec but you will get a high quality piece that is arguably the most shootable in its class.  This is true of the P238.  It has great sights, no recoil, is very accurate and comes in lots of variations including lasers.  But as has been said, the Seecamp is indeed smaller and will fit in some small back pockets the SIG won't.  However, this SIG .380 is a 25 yard gun and the Seecamp .380 is a 5 yard gun.  Personally, I do worry about that felon or terrorist that is 10 yards away and I like the confidence knowing I can put one in his head if I have to.

It all depends on how you define "ultimate" and "carry".

I agree.  I have a couple of LWS 380's but find myself carrying the 9mm much more often because of shootability which gives me more confidence.  I know lots of Seecamp lovers who carry their 32's as opposed to their 380's because they have more confidence they can better defend themselves with a 32 they know they can hit their target than a 380 which can be hard to put multiple shots on target.

I just found out about the Sig P290 last night when I was looking at the Sig website. Nothing scares me more than the words "available for order soon." Can you say allocation?

For me, my Robar R9S is the gun I carry all the time. I have plenty of other guns but I will not compete with other forum members. I would gladly give up some weight and dimensions for the R45; but you already know that.

My thought is if I'm going to carry something that size and weight it will be at least 40 caliber and more likely 45 acp.      The Kahr PM 40 and PM 45 are both comparable in size to the Sig and both are lighter.
  It my be a great shooting gun but so is my Kimber Ultra CDP II and it only weighs 4.5 oz more and holds 7 shots of 45acp.
  I wish Sig the best, but they wont be taking any of my money to the bank.
