Hi hdfb910,
Thanks for the info and especially the note on Meco.  Looks like we have like tastes in things firearm related.  There will be an order in to Meco for a front pocket style in the next week or so.

Hey everyone,
Do you guys like the thumb push off feature?  Being my first "pocket pistol" don't know the advantages/disadvantages of the design.  Any thoughts and experiences are appreciated.

hayabusa.  All my pocket holsters have the push off feature and it's working fine, so can't comment on not having it.  I looked at the feature as a positive, so got it on my first one, and then the others as well.

Good deal...definitely post a pic, and the Hayabusa also... ;)

Thanks Kjtrains!  I like the idea of the pushoff, wanted to hear from an experienced board member for confirmation.  I feel a Meco order coming on.

P7Enigma, Busa was my first bike (2002). Sold it after 3 years.  Currently runnin' an 05 Screamin" Eagle V-Rod and a 2008 Ducati 1098R.  Fantastic bikes but the Busa will always be my first!

Will post pics after my pup arrives this week.  Didn't show up at my FFL today, drats!

Hayabusa.  Good decision.  You will like the pushoff, I'm sure!

I have two Ron Graham holsters and both have a a trigger finger push off, didn't know if I would like it but it works great and leaves your trigger finger in perfect position after the draw.
I'm surprised no other holster maker has employed this.

Thanks for sharing, John.  Great hide (ostrich I assume) and neat design.  Never seen anything like that tab and based on your comments sounds like it works well ergonomically.

Got my tool in the mail yesterday.  Thank you!  Cool piece.  Now all I need is my gun.  My FFL is out until Friday...drats!

I'm usually a "night poster" but the auction thing has me out here early today.  Hope we see what's up today!

I can either take or leave a thumb push off feature,it does not effect the way that I withdraw from the pocket.

I grip with my middle and ring finger, push with the middle finger while grasping gun with ring finger and pinkie finger.
Thumb is along top of gun,and index is along slide as it should be above trigger guard.
The gun is pushed up out of holster with middle/ring fingers, and when it slides out,is gripped and taken out of pocket.

Sorry for the too much described sequence.. :D

Having said all that,I do not use a thumb based take off, even though it may be on the holster.
I use a classic Hedley/Merlin front pocket.

I do it exactly like Brenden described here with the same holster maker.

I called him one day and told him I had a popped rivet. He said,
"Dang, I hate it when a rivet pops." He sent me two more and my shoe man popped it in; better than ever.
RJ would have fixed it but we decided it was easier for me to have it done. He was quite a guy.

That's one of the reasons I have Robert at Meco sew my holsters instead of rivet.

Wish Robert offered the push off, once you get used to it you really like it.
But no problem drawing as Brenden stated.
