Finally got my new pup to my gun club today. Fed it 115 Gold Dots initially which it gobbled like a champ. It was still hungry so I switched to 115 WWB. No problemo! Hungry little sucker! Good advice on wearing a bandaid on your trigger finger...too bad I didn't take it
. But I found that the trigger action was so smooth that moving to the finger pad from the first joint worked great!
Earlier this week I took an NRA Personal Defense in the Home course and used my 9mm Sig 226 Elite for the shooting part of the course. It is a terrific gun and my preferred HD piece. Knocking off 150 rounds in rapid fire mode is a piece of cake. Wouldn't want to try that with the pup! If I can draw an analogy, the Sig is a Rolls Royce and the pup is a Morgan, the tough, tightly strung little English sports car. They have the same pedigree, are both high quality products, and each in its own way is at the top of the charts. I'd take the Rolls for a long trip, but the Morgan is a hell of a ride on a winding, hilly road!
Looks like I'm going to be doing a lot of driving this year! Thanks to all of you for your advice and praise for Rohrbaughs!
