WTK: Fair Market Value Of An R9
« on: April 19, 2010, 03:31:19 PM »
New guy here w/ a new guy question. I am WTS my 3 digit R9 that I bought new/unfired several years back.

I have shot LESS than 50 rds. thru it & need help in determining a sale price. The case, owners manual & warranty card

may have been discarded as I am unable to locate them today. Will post a pic. certainly w/ my ad & would grade this a 9 on a 1-10 scale w/ 10 being NIB.

So what do you fellas think about a fair market value?

Agile.  Welcome to the Forum.  Well, on the price, would depend on how early the 3 digit serial no. is and whether or not it has the "R" prefix, for me.  Sounds like you have a real gem here.

Thx. for the welcome, meant to get registered here last year but ........

I've got this in my safe @ the ranch & will be picking it up Tu/Wed to

shoot a pic. for the ad. I can answer the other questions then as I

candidly don't recall the ser # nor the "R" prefix answer. Will post the

answers here in this thread & the pic will just go in the ad. Sorry fellas

re. the lack of recall, will plead my age (56) on this one.

I quite understand, and like to use Richard's (another Forum member) definition of the problem.  SOMETIMERS.   :)

kjtrains I picked up the acronym CRAFT from mi amigo Pat Rogers.

Damn if it doesn't ring more true every day & not whining as this issue sure beats the alternative.

A little more info. now on my R9. It has a black frame w/ a matte grey slide, CF factory grips & the ser # is R 896.

Have also confirmed the box, docs, 2nd mag. & spare spring have all vanished. As mentioned above it has LESS

than 50rds. down range & would rate a conservative 8.5-9 on a 1-10 scale. I hope to have the ad w/ a pic. posted

by Fr. With this additional information can any of you SMEs help w/ a fair market range of value?

Prices are based on no box, papers, mag etc...

IMVHO I think you are looking at around 1075-1150 if you sell the gun with the CF grips.

If you sell the CF grips alone you will get around 300 to 350 if they are in near mint shape.

If you sell the R9 without the CF grips you will get around 825 to 900 IMO.

Good luck!!!
