No verbal mistake for my enhanced perception for stocking up.  Just the luck of the draw.  I did that also with .45 ACP and probably will never need anymore.  Same with 9mm Silvertips; will definitely not need anymore.

I still look though.

Me, too. I accuse myself of being ammo addicted when I realize it could not all be shot in my lifetime. Guns fall in the same category.

Well, I guess 10 boxes for that price isn't too bad.

Although I am a new person, I've shot perhaps 10 mags solely of 115 gr. Speer Gold Dots through my R9s, and have never had a problem of any kind.
Except for the slightly sore hand, but that's another issue.

That's good.  Gold Dots 115 gr. are recommended.

Just to let you guys know I found what I perceived as a good deal at cabelas.com.  They have Speer GD 115gr 9mm for sale for 15.99 per box and it's in stock!

That is an excellent price.  Probably won't last long.

Cabela's had the same deal a few weeks ago but they gave a 20 dollar discount for purchases over 100.   ;D

Crffish, Ammotogo.com has Speer Gold Dots in 115 or 147 gr , $24.95 per 50 rd box. This is the LE version which, as far as I know, is the same as the regular type. If anyone knows otherwise I would really appreciate hearing from them. I have shot the 115 and 124 gr LE both in my R9s, with perfect results every time.    Gene

I will have to get my R9 working properly by probably returning it to the factory.  I had issues even with Gold Dots.  Thank you for the heads up on the Cheap Gold Dots though.
