And yes.  An R9 deserves some spoiling.  I agree!    :)    :)

Thanks kjtrains, I have been reading some earlier threads and came across some dialogue about the Covert carrier, (under accessories-oops) seems like there is no personal experience with the product, I will be purchasing that product also (I like the concept) along with a pocket piece from Robert. Looking forward to speaking with him.

Spoke to Robert @ meco, 10 to 12 week lead time  :( I will be ordering a front pocket and probably a rear pocket as well. :) As for the Covert Carrier, the replacement grip panel is not available at the moment, so Jim sent me the large and small Universal sleeve. Although it is recommended that the large sleeve fits the R9s I found that after the small sleeve is trimmed it fits like a glove! Have been using it and am satisfied with the concealment, comfort and accessibility. The re-holstering however is a little cumbersome but I attribute that to the rubber sleeve. I can only imagine the replacement grip panel version when available will re-holster smooth.
(still no trigger gaurd)

Rich.  Thanks for the update.  You will like Meco holsters, no question.

Is there a benefit to the cover carrier over a clipdraw?  I would think it would be easier to draw w. a clip on the slide instead of the grip.  (Admittedly, the only thing I've use a clip draw on is my 329NG, but it works well on it.)

Sorry to be late to the party.  I tried the CC and not had good luck.  They were very nice, but were unable to provide a grip panel that was EXACTLY the right cut.  The cutout for the trigger spring was not quite right.  They graciously sent me a second one to try and it did not fit right.  They wound up refunding me, and provided excellent customer service.

I was not thrilled with the position of the R9 using the clip anyway, and have gone with alternative holsters.
