I have just purchased my first R9s last week and I am new to the forum, does anyone have any experiences with the Covert Carrier Grip on an R9s?

Rich.  Welcome to the Forum.  Congratulations on getting your R9s.  No experience on the Covert Carrier Grip.  Again, welcome and post often.

No trigger guard right? Just clips to the inside of your belt or pant waist? Need to remove the grip panel to install? http://www.covertcarrier.com/

I would rather pocket carry in a good holster. Congrats on the new R9s!!!

I’ll take that as a NO FloridaCCW! I’m not too concerned about the trigger guard (DAO is like carrying a revolver) and it looks like they have a universal sleeve that fits over the grip. Like I said I just got this pocket rocket so I don’t have a holster as of yet. Maybe you have some recommendations? Looking for something concealable with shorts and a golf shirt (tucked in) like for on the course, pocket space is usually unavailable.

Rich.  Contact Robert, of  Meco pocket holsters and he can make you what you need.  Here's his link.

Or for another option, Jim at Hidden Holsters, makes great holsters as well:
