kevin.  Welcome to the forum.  Definitely will not have Carbon Fiber Grips, I can assure you.  Not saying that to take away from the work of art to which it is, the CF's are just not available from Rohrbaugh any more.

Keven, The new Stealth you are getting does not come with CF grips. Rohrbaugh doesn't offer CF grips at all anymore. Yes, they need to up date their web site. You'll still like the pup.  Tom

Thanks for the replies. I cancelled my order over this issue. As fine as these guns are i can't buy from them as they know that their ad is missleading(for 3 years now they haven't had carbon fiber grips).

Your more than likley better off by cancelling the order.  If your unhappy up front it would be a strugle  from the get go to be happy with the stealth.

That is untill you had it in your hands and then all would change, you would be completely satisfied like a little kid at Christmas.

Kevin, welcome to the forum.  To each his own but I have never made a pistol purchase based on the grips on the gun from the factory. It's like the tires and wiper blades on the new car from the factory, I always plan on running them for a while and putting on better ones.
The purchase of the Rohrbaugh is to fill a need, for a pocket pistol with more power than a 32 or 380, and the R9 is the only one in it's class, and it is a class act with some of the best customer service you will ever see.
Bottom line, it's your money and you can spend it as you see fit. If having the best pocket pistol money can buy is over shadowed by the lack of CF grips, in my opinion it's your loss.

And to add to that, you may can come across a set of CF's someone wants to sell if that's what you want.  To me, the CF's are not that important, but the gun is.  I've had mine since March of this year and don't feel like I've missed a thing.

I made my decision on prinicple, plus i have over 50 handguns to choose from before i go out the door on a givin day. I did fondle one yesterday at the local gun store and i was inpressed, just like with the ad with those slick grips that it never came with!

I understand.  With your 50 handguns, you don't have a Rohrbaugh, and that's ok.  I  really like mine without the CF's and will never put them on.  I, also can see where you're coming from, prinicples and all, but I do agree with John above, it's your loss.

k_rasmussen,
Welcome, and I agree with you and it is one of the issues I brought up as well when looking at the R9.  I had my dealer also express the displeasure in the site not being updated.  I also was frustrated with a lack of information about models and features.

BUT now that I have mine I am very satisfied.  To me the CF grips are not of any interest unless they have some aggressive checkering put on.  Hopefully this thread gets some attention and they do a better job on the website updates, no one likes to feel that they've been tricked or sucked in.
Good Luck,
Fat Boy

Truth be told, CF grips from a performance and even looks department can be very lacking. They are far more slippery than the Hogue extreme grips or other after market aluminum grip. And over time they tend to get "fuzzy".
Also there is the fact that I have never bought a gun without researching every aspect of it as I could due to it's intended use.  I learned early on the CF grips were no longer used, no matter what the picture looked like. No where in the weapon's description did it even imply that CF grips were on it. And Rohrbaugh themselves (Especially Maria) will give you all the info as well.
And finally, as was previously stated on here, you can always purcgase a set of cf grips and put them on.

Now, bring on the R45 !!!!

agree with this part.  I like my Hogue extreme grips for daily practical use.

The company needs to resolve the misleading pictures and info.  It is way too long that the Cf have been discontinued.  I run a business and would NOT allow a misrepresentation to fester this long.  Just a text note explaining no CFs would help.  Web sites and graphics are NOT that hard to fix.

I appreciate that the R company is totally dedicated to developing and producing the best 9 mm pocket guns in the world.  That is no excuse for obsolete marketing.

While it may not prevent me from buying a pistol, it is disconcerting.

You should voice your concerns to the factory if you haven't already done so. As far as I know they don't even have an e-mail to contact them and Maria is probably their entire marketing department. We're not talking  about a Fortune 500 company here, but they do produce a high quality product and give excellent personal service. If there is something they can't or won't do they will tell you that also.
