Traded for one today
« on: August 01, 2009, 10:35:43 PM »
after reading about them for a while, I now have a new R9s Stealth.  Without seeming stupid, what is the correct pronunciation?  It sounded like the salesman was saying

rollbar, and the video online of Mr. Karl R. has a thick new england accent and I can not catch it.  I am guessing here, but in my mind I see a lion/lamb kind of thing, as in ROAR/BAA Am I anywhere close with that? Anyway, Franklin Gun Shop in Franklin, TN has a few 9mm and 380s on hand. THANKS

"ROAR/BAA" is close enough and an excellent phonic interpretation.
Congratulations and welcome to the R9 odyssey channel.

Welcome from southwest Florida and congratulations on your new "Roar-baw" (baw pronounced as to rhyme with paw as in a cat's paw) R9s Stealth.  ;)

Thanks guys. I traded a NAA Guardian 380, A Smith J frame with electric pencil markings engraved on it, and a 77/22 W/LEUPOLD.   I figure I am now into the R9s at 850-875. I may have been able to sell my stuff a little better, but with what I had in them I was VERY happy w/the trade. Hope to shoot it a little today,  I need to go check the fence line for limbs down on it so I will probably run a magazine or 2 through it while I am in the woods. just waiting for it to cool off a little before I go back there.

That was a very tidy consolidation; the sum seems to be greater
than the parts.

ran both magazines through it, perfect functioning with cheap ammo. Had a plastic can about as tall as a coffee can but only about half as big around. I had movement each shot, either a direct hit or the ground under it at 10-15 yards rapid fire. Recoil not as bad as I expected, considering I can only get my trigger finger and the one below it on the grips. Now I cant  wait to group it to see what it will do. I am no great shot, but I am now as confident with it as I am with one of my colt saa that I shoot all the time.
