New Guy introduction!
« on: June 12, 2009, 04:20:50 PM »
Well,  I already posted in the Wanted/Selling section,  but I feel a "Hello" is necessary.

My name is Ryan,  24 years young from Colorado- shortly to be moving back to Las Vegas.   I have been a firearm enthusiast since I can remember.  I enjoy a bunch of hobbies including Gem Cutting, model car building, painting, woodworking and some others.  I fell inlove with the Rohrbaugh after seeing a review of one a while back in a magazine I used to buy.  I'm still on the hunt for one.   This seems like a wonderful forum with some friendly members from what I have read,  and I look forward to conversing with you guys and learning more about this little wondergun.  Hopefully soon,  i'll have one to call my own.    Hello Everyone!
Oh, yeah...  Uh, I was going to do that but...  I just carried on with my life...

Welcome to the Forum!

(My Lord . . . I vaguely remember turning age 24. As I recall, it was a very good year.  8)  )

Congratulations on setting your sights on acquiring a Rohrbaugh R9, and good luck in the years ahead.

;D  24 has been good to me for the most part.  Nothing extremely exciting,  but when it comes to life,  no news is good news.  I don't need excitement, because it sometimes comes in bad forms!     Thanks for the welcomes everyone.    I doubt anyone will be willing to trade for what I have,  but who knows.   :)

Welcome Stonebender!  I'm a new member too, but a helluva lot older than you  ;)!  Like you, I fell in love with the R9 at a recent CCW class here in New Mexico.  My instructor had one, and it was love at first sight for my wife and I.  Then the quest began for an R9.  Upon the suggestion of several Forum members, I contacted Tom Watson of IrishGuardFirearms, and he has promised to hook me up with one in a few weeks.  I'm excited,

best to ya,  Don

Welcome to the forum. Help me out: You state your dislike of excitement and yet you are moving to Las Vegas? Wow. Obamanomics must be even worse than I thought.

Thank you for the kind welcomes everyone!    The quest for a Rohrbaugh has begun, and things are currently in the works for me getting one hopefully before christmas!

ACP,   I LOVE excitement.  But,  I don't ask for it when things aren't exciting.
I don't necessarily put too much faith in these things, but about 5 years ago, my brother-in-law was wanting more excitement in his life other than work and school.  He got Cancer.  He thinks it was God being loose with the rules.  HaHa.   " You want excitement,  Here's excitement!!"   Since then,  I welcome what comes, and don't ask for anything when I am uncertain what it may bring.   :)

BTW, brother-in-law is fine,  he survived his cancer.

Stonebender: In light of your disclosure as to your brother in law I see the virtue of not having excitement. My comment was lighthearted and was based upon Las Vegas stereotype of 24/7 gambling excitement.

I live in Vermont and I will take quiet woods ten times out of ten.

You missed an opportunity to have purchased my R9 earlier this spring and it was a good price. the R9 holds its value and the only reason I sold it cheaply was to obtain revenue quickly so as to purchase an R9 Stealth.

If you can obtain the funds I endorse Tom Watson (The Irish Guard) as the dealer you should approach.
