special forces
« on: April 09, 2009, 11:58:22 PM »
Ordered Feb 6 and arrived to my dealer march 31. I picked it up on april third which was my 51 birthday. The black on black on black is very cool. So far its digested all loads without problems of any kind. I saw the pictures posted on this forum after the shot show and called rohrbaugh and placed an order via my local dealer(they had never heard of a Rhrbaugh). On a little fishing trip at present but will post pictures soon. As a side note does anyone else have one on order. When mine came in so quick I thought they sent me the shot show gun but the serial numbers were not the same. I think it showed great restraint on my part to wait until my birthday to pick my black pup up. Thanks for a great forum and I will post pics etc in the next few days

Yes, I ordered one from Tom early March and it arrived today.  I'll be picking it up tomorrow morning (24 hours of restraint max).  Enjoy your new SF.  I'm hoping it fits my hand (XXXL), if not it'll unfortunately be up for sale.

I went out 2 days ago to find an R9S and stumbled on the SF...  I couldn't resist.  It is a wonderful little gun!

Wow!  What a kind and welcoming group!  Thanks to all for the greetings!

Any one have an iea of where I could get a grip extension?  I have seen on the forum somewhere that IMC (I think) offers one but they have been out of stock for quite some time. Any other suggestions?

Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet - but I will, soon.

I took it apart - no chips or specks of anything.  It was well-oiled from the factory.  Took me a bit to figure out how to get it back together, and getting that pin back through the hole... well, I still have the little blood blisters where the pup bite me.

I'm hoping to go shooting in the next week but I'm very busy right now trying to get a safe delivered, and do some painting, and carpet, and fixing the lawn mower, that sort of stuff eats up too much time...

The SF looks good, seems well-made, has a very smooth trigger, and a very strong recoil spring!

I hope it's reliable.  I plan to shoot only Gold Dot and Silver Tips.  If it shoots those two 100% reliable then I've found my new pocket gun.  Still waiting on the Mitch Rosen Pocket Softie holster.  I have one for my 340PD and it's really nice.
