I bought a little Uncle Mike's sidekick, #4 pocket holster.  Fits perfectly for both the Ruger LCP and the R9s.

On the upgrades, I think this would be your personal preferance, as this is going to be in your pocket.  Why go shark unless you just want it?

I ordered a Meco black front pocket holster and got it in 3
weeks.  Had it now for about a week.  Got the one with full
stitching.  Works great.

I've found over the years that black holsters seem to wear best for me. As for the trim, I have one in elephant and one in shark. Both are beautiful. It just depends on your personal taste. The only recommendation I would make is that you add a matching magazine case if you haven't already ordered one. Some people don't bother with carrying a spare magazine, but I always have one with me. The case helps keep "pocket dreck" out of the magazine -- and that stuff can really accumulate quickly inside an unprotected magazine.
