Diamond Black Wear
« on: September 18, 2008, 03:44:23 PM »
I split my CW carry between a Seecamp .32 and a R9s stealth.
I use Keith's between the belt and pants holster for the Pup.
I do not see any wear on the Diamond Black and was wondering if anyone has the wear life expectancy of the Diamond Black Finish.

Perhaps I am just waiting for wear so I can bet a hard chrome finish like Cory's Pup

Thanks

I've carried mine daily since I got it 5 months ago in a Hidden Holsters pocket holster and have only noticed that the matte finish seemed to be a bit glossier around the edges or on the high spots.....nothing to be concerned about at this point.....gives it a little charachter.  ;)

Well, I'm kinda dumb here. I've a R9 (that's how it's marked)    with sights. Serial number 120, been carrying it in my pocket since I got it. Ain't got NO wear marks, looks new, it's killed some (3 or 5 snakes) and a couple of squirrels and LOT of cans and IDPA targets with the center cut out.

So, I don't think the finish has a whole lot to do with how the gun looks-as long as it is stainless steel.

Bill,

I think he has a stealth model.  That's where the diamond black coating is applied.  Same folks that do S&W's if I'm not mistaken.
