I've been talking with Maria at Rohrbaugh on the finish issue. Spoke to her today and she commented that the phone has been ringing off of the hook since the American Handgunner article.

Get'em while you can.

I got my magazine 2 days ago...pretty good and favorable article. Makes me want the elite to go with my stealth and two tone....does anyone really need 3 of these? ( ;

Corey,

Before you buy another Rohrbaugh I would consider waiting to see of the Broberg(sp) is ever released.  That is what I am going to do.  Just a thought.

Might be to late, unless they are out before the R380 next month (we hope!)  Also looking forward to the Kahr P380 soon.

Corey,

If you are confident with a 380 that is fine.  At this stage in my life I am not confident with anything less than a 9mm so I will wait to see if the Broberg will be produced or is just vaporware.

On a side note I really like the new 327 magnm and if it is chambered in a gun much lighter than the SS SP101 I may consider it.  For all their faults I really like magnums.  One shot, one kill.

A pistol is a pistol, a rifle is a rifle, a pistol is not a rifle, nor is a revolver.  There isn't a magic load in a pistol that guarantees a kill; likewise for a rifle, but a rifle increases the odds considerably.

That said, I agree the new 327 looks good on paper, but the "101" is way too heavy for the pocket.

Mike the R380 will not be for backup carry.  I have a Seecamp 380 for that.  Getting the R380 to me is kinda like having a 22lr conversion for a 1911.  I would never carry it for protecion when I have others the same size but in 9mm, but its got to  be a blast to shoot.

As happy as I am for the R bros... ringing off the hook sounds like my R45 moves back another year...   :'(

I have been thinking about a 380 as a more pleasant one to shoot...

I just got my copy of American Handgunner. It's a fine follow-up review by a straight talking editor and retired LEO.

It is a very positive article and should raise awareness to
the R9; what constantly amazes me is the number of people
I encounter who have never or faintly heard of the pup.
