Great idea; a lot of us love wooden grips. It is good to
have another alternative.

I agree with tracker. It is nice to have another option, let us know about your progress.  Tom

That looks like a promising start for sure!  I'm a certifiable "grip junkie."  So far, I have only three sets of grips for my R9 -- Black CF, Blue CF, and G10.  If you're able to make after-market grips for the pistol, I'll order a pair.   8)

My hope would be to make these grips based on custom orders (i.e. wood type, checkering, finish, etc).  I will post an update once I have a product that is worthy of selling.  I am a bit of a perfectionist, so this may take a while!  Thanks for letting me know that there is some interest in this idea other than my own.

You read my mind.  Here is another variation of this idea that I am also currently working on.  Look at the second gun pictured on the page.  An ambidextrous finger groove section located on the front under the trigger guard.

I like what you did with the G10 grips.  I think that any type of wood grip could be custom altered from the original design to accomodate the end user.  I will make a trial run of your design as well to see what is the most functional/reliable product.
