R9s Stealth Virgin ... no more!
« on: August 05, 2007, 08:32:38 PM »
Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and I just put about 200 rounds through my brand new R9s Stealth.  The final 50 rounds I used Winchester Silvertip 115g and they fed like a dream.  I'm going to carry them.

I have to say that I am so pleased ... the gun ran perfectly.  I normally carry a full size 1911 but have forever wanted a semi-auto that would fit in my pocket and still meet my minimum 9mm requirement for personal defense, a gun that I'd just be able to pop in my pocket when I just have to run to the grocery store.

This gun is a dream.  The craftsmanship is excellent and it's a good looking gun as well.

Best,
Garry

Thanks WS6.   I wish I had known about the R9 before I'd bought all the other crap I've owned.   ::)

I guess that's what they mean about wisdom.

Welcome to the forum Garry.

I don't know if you have been viewing the forum but from all I have read here the  Winchester silvertip 115g is one of the best rounds you can carry.

I have been loading Speer Gold Dot 115g and they also do great in my pup. Still thinking about some silvertips though.

Hi Terry,

Yeah... my buddy, who also picked up an R9s Stealth and I have both been reading the forum quite a bit.  We settled on the Silvertip due to what seems to be high amounts of praise at how it runs in the guns of those in the know.

Just took a photo ... I'm still working on holsters.  For now I'm going with a Nemesis as an interim measure.   :)
