Assembly Made Easy
« on: June 11, 2006, 11:42:52 PM »
Hello all and thanks for a great forum!
I'm a proud new R9S owner (well it's almost new)
and I have to say that I enjoy shooting the
R9 a lot better than cleaning it!
I've came up with a simple tool that works very well
for disassembly of the R9S.
It allows you to easily remove & install the barrel pin.
I've also got a simple tool for installing the guide
rod assembly. Both work GREAT !!! Here's  the link:

It will be the best few dollars you ever spent!
Thanks again,
Steve

Congrats on a novel approach to this problem.

Have you seen RJ Hedley's take down tool?

Thank you and no I had not seen
RJ Hedley's take down tool until now.
(would have saved me a lot of trouble)
Sorry RJ, I didn't step out of line here.

No problem.  There have been several other inventive approaches to the take down difficulties.
i.e.,  First was the Chop sticks, then the double ended cleaning brush, and so on.

It was generous of you to give these additional ideas to the guys that need the help.   But, I must continue to charge for my *2 'n 1 tool*, in order to recover my cash outlay.

PS-   That was an impressive presentation you provided for your ideas..

Steve:

Very innovative!  That tool should be particulary useful to any owners who have limited hand strength or mobility.  Thank you, and welcome to the Forum.

Steve,

Excellent tools.  Thank you for sharing.

The re-assembly process has been especially hard for me.  Your presentation is outstanding and will be of solid value.

Steve,

You must be a very smart and critical thinker to come up with slolutions to problems we all experience.

You could fabricate some and sell to cover for your time and supplies.

Thanks for thinking of others.

I just want to offer my compliments on your ideas and presentation, Steve - I have RJ's stop stick and take - down tools, and this will provide another option for cleaning my pup.

Welcome, and thanks!

Steve, thanks for the tool idea, I've been meaning to tell you that I made one and it works great for me! With YOUR tool and RJ's I've got the take down and the reassembly of the pup well in hand. Thanks for sharing with us. That's one of the things about this forum that makes it such a great one! Les
