Yeah - a little "thread drift" at times is what makes this forum special.  The conversation may wonder some but it usually gets back on track.  Just like when you are at a gathering of friends.

Frank - I don't have the two to directly compare but G-10 is a composite as is CF - I doubt much difference tho if G-10 slightly higher density I'll be surprized if the weight increase was even a mere 0.1 ounce or something real small :)

Hi folks, it is great to be back after DSL line problems and a dead computer. I'm now on a new one. In talking with Maria, the CF grips are gone for ever at this point. It seems they will not be getting any more. Tom

Darn it all...now its an extra $140 for the grips I like! As I save...more $ :(  Purchase is looking less likely :(

BTW, there is actually a CF shortage....especially the CF/Kevlar combination.
