It looks like G10 is coming in the future. My info is that carbon fiber will be around for awhile yet.

Interesting re the benchmade - I bought one from DDGator not long ago - lovely knife if on heavy side.  Grips feel good too and so could well be these are G-10.

Tom, well OAL is just under 4 1/2", widest point excluding clip about 1" and thickness about 1/2".  Blade 3 1/2".

Not small but not overly large - just a shade heavy for EDC in some pants.  Lovely knife tho and it'll see some use, just not all the time - that these days is my small and compact Kershaw Scallion.

Noticed I had a double tap on last post - must clear that.  Server seems very slow today too.

Strider uses G10 for their knife scales. It's probably as close to indestructible as you can get for materials of that type.
Mick Strider once shot one of his knives with a .45 to see how the G10 would hold up, and it did surprisingly well - dented but not destroyed. There were pictures posted of it, but that was quite some time ago and I can't find them now.
The carbon fiber grips are unique, look good and may even become collectable someday, but I have no problem with the move to G10, as it's probably a better material for the application.
