There are three manufacturers of ammo which rules out ammo. Winchester white box 115 gr, hornady 124 gr TAP, and another brand I can't remember, but it is 115 gr and not +P. All are showing cratering, obviously. Pressure is only one thing that will cause craters, headspace will do so also since if the case head is not supported by the bolt face (in this case it appears to me, IMO, that the barrel shroud is higher than the cartridge which would leave a gap between the cartridge head and the bolt face) the case will slam back against the bolt face and flatten or crater the primer with normal pressures. Since the cartridge headspaces at the mouth of the case having the barrel bored too deep by 15 thousands of an inch would do the same thing. In both cases it appears to be the barrel.
I will call the plant. When I sent the gun back for the cracked slide, I had asked to talk to Eric or Karl and was unable to do so. Will try again. Mistakenly thought they were monitoring this forum.
