Brenden - thx for comments.

The brass tool - is actually just a piece of brazing rod, slightly smaller in dia than pin - once pin is in all but the last stage - that brass ''thingie'' lets me shove and ''snick'' it the last bit!  It started as a piece about 6" long - and I double bent the bulk of it to a sorta ''key'' handle shape.  Helps me have something to press on - dead simple - I can take a pic if you wish.

''Lube regimen''?  Well yeah I guess we could - just an expansion really of the stills on the FAQ site - worth thinking about.  I'll see what I can come up with.

The sound track on takedown vid was ''Bladerunner'' - the Harrison Ford sorta ''cult'' movie - unusual piece but quite haunting.  The X-Files of course anyone would recognize LOL!

Chris,

Thanks..For all the work and time..Much appreciation on this end for sure!! ;D 8)

I feel good if I can post a simple pic!! :o

Thanks for the idea on the brazing rod..Every once in awhile I run into a bit of a prob there..

It does' get easier every time I have found..

You have made it easier for many owners, and future owners!! 8)

I do understand about the lube clip-repeat-but sometimes people understand it a bit more if they "view" it instead of "see" it.. ;)

I have to see Bladerunner again..It has been years since I have seen it..Pretty wild for the "time"..

Thanks again..

Brenden

Thx again Brenden - I think what I will try is probably little more than expand on the pics - but with commentary and of course applying goo while so doing ;D

I hope when i get pics from TW we can have something more to view too if it all comes together as I imagine it could.

I have to jump in here and tell you how great both clips are. I too was memorized at the naration, you sound very professional.
You sure did make the whole process look easy, and first shot with the recoil spring.
I cleaned mine the other night, I don't use tools on the recoil spring, but I had a little problem, it took a whole minute for me.
I think I used the chop stick on the reassembly also.

Cool video, you're a great guy. Keep the accent, you sound cool.
I'm watching Alain de Cadenet on SPEED channel right now. Love the way he talks. The way he says JAGUAUR.

Take care, and thanks.

FANTASTIC work, Chris -- as usual.

You make it look easy -- which shows how many times you have done it.  Thanks for this!

Chris,

I did think of one more possible subject for your wonderful video.

Some of us (you know who) might not have been confident about where to put the Channel Lock pliers on the spring assembly.

If there is only one of us in the world, then I guess it does not matter.   :D

Bill - I have received pics from TW - which show Eric doing various things re takedown, lube etc.  I am hoping when time to assemble these into a slide show of some sort.  Maybe a vid, tho could perhaps do a Powerpoint deal - tho not sure if everyone has that or a viewer.

One pic shows channel locks very well in use.

I'll try and get to this over next few days.

Chris, I would be concerned about only a few folks having Powerpoint.

I have Office, but never got Powerpoint.

Everybody is looking ahead to seeing the revision about maintenance.  Thanks to you and TW for thinking about the forum members.

I have thought on that more Bill and am sure you are right.

Spoke with TW earlier and I think I will endevor to put together a vid - well 2 probably.  I have to go thru the pics, make up sequences and then decide on commentary etc - may take a while but hopefully we'll have something to show before too long.

I will tho be checking with TW once something is put together  - to make sure I am using the pics to best advanatage, before ''releasing'' to everyone.
