It seems to me that supply is rising to meet demand for
the present; to predict that demand will stay soft
relative to demand seems a bit premature and disregards
an increase in demand due to any number of factors.

Bottom line: if you want one, get it when you can.

In September of 2004 I ordered a R-9s from my gun dealer. It was supposed to cost $850. And take 6 to 8 weeks to get. I gave him $400 as a deposit. In January of 2005 my dealer said he checked on my order with Rohrbaugh. He told me it would be 2 more weeks before delivery. In Feburary, 3 weeks later, still no R-9s. My dealer called Rohrbaugh while I waited in the store. He was told that there was no record of my order!  
The dealer gave me my $400 back, but I was dissapointed to say the least. Long story short, I bought a R-9 (no sights) at a gun show in Dayton Ohio, for $1150.

Ed, I would be pretty darn upset about that kind of treatment.

I used to get that  when ordering stuff over the internet.  Two weeks later they would have no record of the order.

At least you finally got one.

Thanks for the kind words. The good thing is I have my R-9S now, and life is good. Sometimes adversity make one a stronger person.
