I have had two in three months using Gold Dot 124 grain.
It was a pleasure to shoot and I have since added anti-
skid tape to further enhance the experience.

victor, my R9S is a real winner.  I'm very proud of it.

I agree with tracker and others here who endorse putting tape on the grip.  It adds greatly to the control of the pistol and makes my shooting much more comfortable.

My mental health is affected by reading some of the posts in this forum.  I have not had any problems with my R9 since the first 50 round breakin period. However, everytime I look at alot of the recent posts I get paranoid about my pistol.  So I went back to the range today and fired a 50 round box of Winchester white box 115 gr FMJ and some of the 115 gr Gold Dots that I have been carrying. It worked flawlessly I am happy to report. This definitely improves my mental health and makes me realize that I just being paranoid.

A similar thread was done a few weeks ago for the same reason you probably started this one - to ease your mind that you made a good decision to get the R9.

LCP:
I enjoyed your post; it seems that our guns are an
extension of ourselves--kind of like cars. If they work
well we are very happy; if they don't we are looking for
something to kick. If the demons are really out to get you, you
are not paranoid. In this case no one is out to get anybody
but buyer's remorse does raise its ugly head when emotions
run away from reality. This will all settle down and work out
in time.

victor:

I posted my first range impression of the R9s back in May of 2004.  Here's the link:

http://www.rohrbaughforum.com/YaBB.cgi?board=R9S;action=display;num=1085538678

I had ordered my Rohrbaugh sight unseen based on a report I had read about the prototype's appearance at the 2002 Shot Show.  After having owned and carried my Rohrbaugh for the past year and a half, I am pleased and thankful to report that it has been flawless.  Good luck with yours.  I predict that you're going to love it.  It's quite a package.

The pup I carry now-a Deer Parker- no problems as yet-do not expect any-70 thru without a glitch.. 8) 8) 8)

If the rain holds-I plan on doing another 28 or so this weekend..

I trust it to possibly protect my family!!

My R-9 was flawless for about the first 100 rounds. Then I had some problems. Hopefully after getting my R-9 back from being repaired I can start reporting about my R-9's flawless performance too!  :)

I got my R9 two weeks ago but today was the first time I was able to shoot it.  50 rounds, three types of ammo, absolutely flawless.  Nice groups, too, although a fraction low and to the right.
