XT
Welcome...

Pocket carry is THE mode of carry IMO.. ;D

A "high" belt or IWB would be second/third for my use..

Ankle carry is a way that I have not been able to "perfect" as yet.. :)

Of course I am wearing sandles at the moment.. ;)

I totally agree that pocket carry is the way to go.  Aside from convenience, comfort, concealment, and reasonably fast access, you can discreetly have your hand on your gun if the situation calls for it.

At the risk of creating some serious thread drift . . .

If you have purchased a Rohrbaugh and plan to carry it, you are obviously serious about your and your family's safety.  So why would you wear sandals or flip flops?!

Flip-flops?? Hehe - they are a classic BG distraction - you kick one foot as if kicking a ball - flip-flop flies off at high velocity - distracting BG whilst ypou pull R9 out of pocket.

He recovers from flying flip-flop to face a decision - looking down the ''tunnel of love'' represented by the pup.

Good to see you are at least thinking creatively, as long as you aren't putting your foot back down on broken glass, the piece of gum or cigarette butt that someone threw on the sidewalk, a discarded syringe, hot asphalt, etc.

I spent all day wearing Rockport dress shoes that are far, far more comfortable (for me) than any sandal or flip flop I have ever seen.  On the weekends, it is usually running shoes or occasionally hiking boots.  On long walks, I am fine, and any companions wearing sandals usually regret it.

I'm probably setting myself up for a flame, but I'll suggest that there is never any reason for a man to wear any shoe that inhibits his ability to fight or run.  In the case of a lady, I understand that I am never going to overcome their fashion-consciousness.

Bill - in all truth you are right!!

I do wear sandals in the office when ''locked in'' at home but - all other times I wear sneakers - good fitting comfortable deals.  I may be too ancient to do the ''100 yard dash'' as I once did but - I like two things about my footware - grip (good traction) and silence.!!

I always got a real laugh in movies - when main chr would walk along ''clicking''; with his leather soles - so all the world could hear him comin' !!

I relish being quiet and ''sneaky''  ;D

All too often - I go back into house (office is in huge shed bottom of yard) - and shock the bejesus out of her - because she never hears me comin'   :P :D

For those with such concerns, I recommend the new Keen "tactical" sandals -- available at Cabellas and other fine sporting goods type retailers.

These new sandals attach firmly to your feet, have full toe protection, great traction soles, and thick soles for rough terrain.  These are combination sandals, watershoes, walking shoes and hiking shoes.

I've been wearing Teva sandals for years and love them. I also wear "Croc's" plastic clogs.

A few of my more *Stupid moments* have revolved around my choice of footwear.   A Two forty five pound man doesn't fall too well.

It reminded me of the movie in which John Wayne, drunk, fell off his horse.  After looking around a bit, he said, " this looks like a good place to stay for the night."   ;D
 [or something along those lines]
