BIG NEWS -- R-9 Named Handgun of the Year by NRA

Breaking news....

The NRA publicaton Shooting Illustrated has named the Rohrbaugh R-9 as its [size=13]2005 Handgun of the Year![/size]

Congrats, guys!  A high-profile and well-deserved award.  Eric and Karl will be accepting this award at the 2005 NRA Annual Meeting in mid-April in Houston, Texas.

According to the NRA: "The Golden Bullseye Awards are our way of saluting the ingenuity of today's entrepreneurs who are maintaining the vitality of one of our nation's oldest industries. This year's winners are products remarkable in terms of innovation, reliability, safety, and for providing shooters and hunters genuine value for their hard-earned dollars."

Looks like others are catching on to what we already know... Its time for the guys to revel in some well-deserved credit.

I would imagine the Rohrbaugh's are putting a nail in the wall to hang this Award..

Another congratulations to the Rohrbaugh team!

IMHO, it would have been a crime for the NRA to miss such a qualiity product.  I suspect this is the first of many such awards.
